Airlock with yellow cap. It protects against flies, oxidation and contamination during fermentation. Suitable for containers in the range of 1-50 l. Fits a 9mm hole.
The Airlock filled halfway with water acts as a kind of siphon, keeping beer or wine out of the outside air. No bacteria from outside can enter, but due to excessive pressure inside the fermenter, the carbon dioxide formed will be able to escape through it.
With volumes of 50 liters or more, it is necessary to use a cylindrical air chamber. The water in the air chamber can evaporate and regulate the checking and filling if necessary.
