The advantage of this type of exchangers is that in addition to having a size significantly lower than the joint exchangers (which facilitates the installation work and reduces the space required) there is no possibility of water leaking through the plates, with what maintenance costs are reduced considerably.
DISADVANTAGES
Costly and difficult repair. You cannot change the number of plates as needed. Much shorter service life than removable plate heat exchangers, worse sanitation.
